ORIWA is the first hair-only brand in the box. That is a gap worth noticing
Every other brand in the Naru Box sells skin. ORIWA sells hair and scalp — a shampoo for hard water, a mist for UV, a shampoo for chlorine — and none of it is a line extension off a skincare brand.

Every brand feature in this issue so far has sold something you put on skin. ORIWA does not. It is a haircare-only line — three problems (hard water, sun, chlorine) and three products, none of them a shampoo bolted onto a skincare range as an afterthought.
That narrowness is itself the story worth telling a buyer, because it is rare here. Haircare is a thin category in most Korean export catalogues we see — brands build a routine around a serum and add a shampoo at the end because a range "should" have one. ORIWA built the range around hair problems specifically, which is a different starting point and shows in the formulas.
The brand
ORIWA's stated identity — "Originated from Water" — points at something concrete rather than decorative: each of its three sampleable SKUs solves a water-exposure problem rather than a generic hair-type problem. Hard water leaves mineral residue. Chlorine and sweat leave their own residue after swimming or sport. UV and heat damage hair the way they damage skin, just less discussed. Three different kinds of water stress, three products.

The problem most shampoos do not name
"Hard water" is a real formulation target, not a marketing flourish — mineral build-up from calcium- and magnesium-rich water is a documented cause of dull, rough-feeling hair, and it is a bigger problem for buyers shipping into regions with harder tap water than Korea's than it is for the domestic market. A brand that names the mechanism (chelating agents, specifically) and builds a shampoo around it is solving something a generic "moisturising shampoo" does not.
The same logic carries into the sun spray, which is the more unusual SKU of the three: a dual UV filter system built for hair rather than skin, aimed at the sun damage that shows up as colour fade and dryness rather than burn. Hair sun protection is not a category most Korean export catalogues carry at all — most sun-care SKUs we see are facial.

A range built for travel and activity, not the bathroom shelf
Read the three sampleable SKUs together and a positioning falls out on its own: this is a range for people leaving the house, not standing at a home routine. Hard water shows up when you travel. Sun and heat exposure show up outdoors. Chlorine and sweat show up at the pool or the gym. None of the three is a daily-use, stay-home product, which is worth knowing before you decide where in a store this sits — travel and sport retail, not the core haircare shelf, is the more natural first placement.

Compliance
No certification documents are on file with us yet. The full INCI is published for all three sampleable SKUs, which is the document most import desks will check first regardless — ask us for certifications separately if your market requires them before you commit.
Who this fits
Carry it if your assortment is thin on haircare, or if you sell into travel retail, sport retail, or a resort/hotel amenity channel where a problem-specific shampoo (hard water, chlorine) reads as a genuine solution rather than a generic bottle. The UV hair spray in particular fills a shelf gap most Korean ranges leave empty.
Skip it if you need a full haircare programme — shampoo, conditioner, treatment, styling — in one order. ORIWA solves three specific water-exposure problems and does not (yet) offer the everyday conditioner or treatment step a full haircare aisle needs; you would be building around it rather than filling a shelf from it alone.
