Most brands you will be offered from Korea make everything. Toner, serum, cream, mask, cushion, and a mist because the line needed a mist.

motomont makes only the mist. Three SKUs, one format, and the brand describes itself as Korea's cream mist specialist rather than as a skincare line that happens to include one.

Why that is not a limitation

A face mist is the SKU most often cut from an assortment, because it reads as an accessory — water in a spray bottle, bought once, never reordered.

A dual-phase cream mist is a different object. Two layers that separate in the bottle and have to be shaken back together mean an emulsion, not a solution: oil phase, water phase, and a spray head that has to atomise the mixture without clogging. That is a formulation and packaging problem, and it is the reason most brands' mists are toner in disguise.

It is also visible. A bottle a customer has to shake, and can see separate again, demonstrates its own difference on the shelf without a single line of copy.

Sold by moment, not by step

The brand organises the range by occasion rather than routine position — a rice mist for dewiness, a matcha mist for skin that feels heated after the day, and the Afternoon mist aimed squarely at the middle of a working day, which the brand states is clinically tested to help hold makeup for up to six hours.

That framing has a commercial consequence worth noticing. A product sold as step four competes with the serum you already stock. A product sold as three o'clock does not compete with anything — it is an add-on at the till, a gym-bag purchase, a desk product. Different shelf, different basket, no cannibalisation.

Ask for the makeup-hold test report before you use that claim in your own copy. A six-hour figure is the sort of thing that sells a mist, and also the sort of thing a marketplace will ask you to substantiate.

Compliance

Read this matrix by column rather than by row. Coverage here is not uniform across the three SKUs — one of them is filed considerably more widely than the others, which is normal for a brand that has led with a flagship into regulated markets. If your order is built around a specific market entry, check that the SKU you want is the one that carries it, and ask us to chase the rest.

Who this fits

Carry it if you need a counter product, a gift-set filler or a summer push, and you want it to be something your customer cannot already buy from three other brands on your floor. Format specialisation means the brand is not asking you to displace anything — and a brand that makes one thing tends to iterate on it, which is why the pipeline runs new pairings each quarter rather than a new category each year.

Skip it if your economics are freight-sensitive. Mists carry the worst weight-to-value ratio in skincare — 100ml of largely water per unit — and a mist that works by sea in a mixed pallet can lose its margin entirely by air. Skip it also if you need one supplier to fill a routine: motomont will never sell you a cleanser, and that is deliberate.
