What MOQ do most Korean skincare brands require for first orders?

I'm looking to place my first wholesale order with Korean skincare brands. Most brands I've contacted so far ask for 500+ units per SKU, which is a big commitment for a first order. Is this standard? Any brands on knok that offer lower MOQs for new buyers? I'd love to test with smaller quantities first before scaling up.

From my experience, MOQs vary a lot depending on the brand size. Smaller indie brands on knok often accept 100-200 units per SKU for first orders, while bigger brands stick to 500+. My tip: be upfront about your store size and growth plans. Many brands are willing to negotiate lower MOQs if they see long-term potential. I started with 150 units from one brand and we've since scaled to 2,000+ per order.

Adding to Thomas's point — I've found that ordering multiple SKUs from the same brand can help with negotiation. Instead of 500 units of one product, try 100 units each of 5 products. The total order value is similar but you get to test more products. Most brands I've worked with on knok were open to this approach.
